TWO CUBA BIKE TOUR OPTIONS
Hello, Cuba cycling fans.
Guest blogger and Cuba bike tour leader Lee Orphan here. I've been in Havana since January 8, 2025, and it has been a great experience. So far I've been fortunate to have no power outages although there will be some periods of a few hours when that won't be the case. I've wandered the local markets, explored the tourist sites in and around Havana, and added many happy miles cycling to the eastern beaches and pueblos to the west.
Food and meals are very inexpensive for tourists. I am having some very nice meals at the restaurants in the Vedado neighbourhood of Havana for half the price I would pay at home. The ropa vieja de res (shredded beef) has been my favourite, and the pizzas have been delicious.
Last weekend, we spent some time with the Guajira Tour group as they completed their ride around western Cuba. It was a pleasure to hear their stories of adventure and unique experiences.
The earliest bike tours of the season have sold out, but there remain spaces for the February and March tours.
